Indrė Stulgaitė

Graduated from the Vilnius Academy of Arts, Kaunas Art Faculty, Glass Department (MA), Kaunas, Lithuania, 2007. Graduated from the Vilnius Academy of Fine Arts, the third Level University Studies in Art (at present: Vilnius Art Academy Department of Postgraduate Studies), Vilnius, Lithuania, 2009. Art doctoral studies there from 2015; gained the Doctor of Arts Degree in 2020.
Awarded grants for creative work, including the award of the 8th International Contemporary Art Fair “ArtVilnius’17”, 2017, and the Panevėžys Municipality Culture and Art Prize, 2018.
Participated in 29 solo exhibitions and 40 group exhibitions, including in Belarus, Bulgaria, China, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, the Faeroe Islands, Finland, France, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, and Ukraine.
Known for writing glass art-themed articles and organising art events.
Works in museum collections: Lithuanian National Museum of Art Vilnius, Lithuania; Evald Okas Museum, Haapsalu, Estonia; Andrey Sheptytsky National Museum and Glass Museum in Lviv, Ukraine; Finnish Glass Museum, Riihimaki, Finland; Museum of Decorative, Applied and Folk Art, and Kuskov Palace, Moscow, Russia; Museum of Glass and Crystal in Nikolsk, Russia.
Currently she works as a glass artist, freelance designer, and photojournalist.
In her art, she concentrates on the problems of human existence, preservation of civilisation, and the importance of home.
